SPOTTED: LYRICALLY DERANGED POETS (ARTIST)

So get this, Mr. Rjay Ty had a dinner at my place, talked about stuff,
till i decided to have an awesome interview with LDP.
LDP is one of the Philippines rising hip hop groups, well known for they're
songs like Suliranin, Taking Back The City, and many more.
LDP is composed of three awesome people, namely RJayy Ty, Alex Omiunu, and
Raymond Abracosa. Fresh in the music game, Award winners, ill songs, im tellin you for those
who havent listened to LDP your in for a treat.

1.how did you guys get into the music game?

LDP started back in '06 at CSA. We were a bunch of teenagers who were really into hiphop. We started cipher sessions and small battles at the covered courts and other students started paying attention. I remember one time when Abra and I were getting at each other on stage at the HighSchool covered court and our friends and some other kids who were around the area were really into it (Haha! Good times!). Anyway, when we started to think of making LDP official we then had regular meetings at Alex's place, which back then was the closest spot from school, where we just kicked it. Cipher sessions here and there and then we thought of buying our own mic. It was a hella cheap mic which cost us around 800php, if I'm not mistaken. We used it to record a couple of our tracks over downloaded beats (which mostly came from VTZ haha classic!). We posted up our 1st few songs at myspace and linked up with a couple of people who helped us out namely B-roc, Nathan J. Nathan J. welcomed us to THE COMMUNITY which was the hottest annual hiphop event back then. B-roc who was Nathan J's partner for spearheading THE COMMUNITY and also the head honcho of Turbulence Productions gave us our 1st shot to work on a legit track and jump on a mixtape. Our track was called United (Huwag Magpapagiba) which is a part of the mixtape entitled Tippin The Scales by Turbulence Productions. We started getting recognized by people who were really into the whole underground scene then we met Bojam and Bigg from The BeatShop where we recorded our 1st album THE PROJECT. Boj and Bigg dropped The Beatshop and went their separate ways and we stuck out with Bojam to become a part of his Independent Label called FlipMusic and the rest was history!!!

2.top 5 influences (as a group)

1. Audible
2. Eminem
3. Stick Figgas
4. Francis M.
5. Kanye West

3.why lyrically deranged poets?

Well I don't really remember the exact things going through my mind during the very moment that I thought of the name but I remember saying to myself that I want to create a group which focuses on the lyrics and the messages that our music delivers to our listeners. I want our songs to paint pictures via the words that we use. Oh and yeah don't take deranged literally haha!

4.what should we expect from LDP for 2011?

You can expect a lot of new material and activities from LDP this year! We're coming out with a mixtape called SideProject on April, a concert this summer, our sophomore album late this year and a whole lot more surprises!!!
